Gobble - Gobble

Well I finally killed something in Oregon, besides brain cells.  A few friends and I have been doing some turkey hunting and have had a pretty good time.  This particular hunt reminded me of goose hunting with my dad when I was a kid, it was freezing cold, snowing sideways, and I wasn't dressed warm enough.  We called in an elk and a turkey, and at one point I think I could have got them both in one shot.  His beard was 9 inches and he was a good looking bird.  Hopefully there will be another post soon of turkey number 2.  Stay tuned.....

Easter Egg Fun

Easter fun began on Saturday with the local John Day egg hunts.  Hannah was very excited to put her egg hunting skills to the test.  Although there were plenty of children and parents hunting eggs, Hannah brought home a whopping 3 dozen hard boiled and plastic eggs.

Waiting ever so patiently for the fun to begin.

On the move!!!

Some of Hannah's egg findings.

Very proud parents, and the egg hunter extraordinaire.

Easter Sunday started off with a special delivery, we all received Easter baskets filled with wonderful delights.  The Easter Bunny delivered some very special goodies, and hid eggs to boot.  We spent the afternoon over at our friends home for Easter Brunch, and yet again Hannah got to hunt eggs, and prove she is a mighty egg hunter.

Easter Morning, Hannah woke up to a special treat left to her by the Easter Bunny.
(Can anyone say, spoiled?)

Hannah spending time with one of her best buds, Colter.  Here they are resting after a long sprint of egg hunting.

 Life is grand!

Colter let Hannah ride his pedal less bike.

We've Come A Long Way

We've come a long way since the first time Hannah met the Easter Bunny.  Check out her progression...

Santa was never an issue, but for some reason the Easter Bunny has been a large threat the last two years.  Even though, we would have loved for the same facial reaction to continue (mainly for our amusement), we are proud of Hannah for overcoming her fear.  Not to mention, we have potentially saved thousands of dollars in future psych visits.
